Computer repair call-outs in Paarl and the Winelands
We come to you. If getting a machine to our workshop is the part that does not work — it is heavy, it is a laptop you cannot leave on a bus, it is a business that cannot close the door — book a call-out and a technician comes to your home or office. The total is quoted before we set off.
Most of our work comes through the door at 62 Bosch, Northern Paarl. But a drop-off is not always possible or not always sensible, and when it is not, that is what the call-out service is for.
What a call-out is for
- Machines you cannot easily move. A tower, an all-in-one, a laptop with a screen you are not game to risk carrying on a bump.
- Businesses that cannot stop. A shop, a small office or a farm where closing up for a day to fetch and return a machine costs more than the repair.
- Faults that only show up in place. A machine that shuts down after twenty minutes, a printer that only misbehaves on your network, several machines that started failing at once.
- Networks and printers. We will set up and fault-find the connection on site rather than explaining it to you over the phone.
How the call-out charge works
There are two parts to it, and we tell you both before we set off rather than after:
- A fixed fee for the visit — the technician's time on site, regardless of how long the job takes.
- Travel on top, according to the area. Paarl and the immediate surroundings sit at one rate. Wellington, Franschhoek and the wider Winelands are charged by how far we have to come.
Ring the workshop with your address and we will give you the total up front. If the repair is not worth doing once we have looked at it, you are not charged for the repair — and if it turns out the call-out was the wrong call, we will say so.
What happens after the visit
- We look at it on site and tell you what is wrong.
- You get a written quote before anything is carried away or ordered.
- Small jobs are often done there and then, if you would rather not have the machine off your desk.
- If it needs the bench, we take it in, do the work, and it comes back with the 6-month warranty explained.
Common questions
Is it cheaper to bring it in?
On the visit fee alone, yes — that is what the fee is for. What it does not account for is the trip, the time off work, and the risk of carrying a machine. If it is a tower and you have a car and an hour, bring it in.
Do you charge the call-out fee if you decide not to go ahead?
The visit itself is what the fee covers, so yes, the fee stands. What you are not charged for is a repair you did not agree to.
Can you fix it on the spot?
Often, yes — anything that is a setting, a connection or a consumable. A board or a drive failure needs the bench, and we will tell you on the visit rather than after.
What is covered by the warranty?
All repair work carries 6 months. If the same fault comes back inside that period, we fix it again at no charge.
